Environmental Conservation

Because of the climate change a phenomenon that according to experts is responsible for the increasing world temperatures, change in farming seasons, flooding and world natural fires among others, Magic events foundation also embarks on tree planting along the River banks across the region reduce on the effects of flooding.

In the month of January 2020, magic events foundation embarked on a tree planting project along the river banks of Nyamwamba flowing the flash floods that have on several occasions remained a challenge to the people living along the River valley. The flash floods have since claimed lives while property worth millions of shillings have been destroyed.

This project is still ongoing on the river banks where we are expecting to plant dozens of Bamboo trees, which according to environmentalists have a high soil binding capacity but also resistant to flooding.

We not only engage directly in tree planting but also sensitizing the community on the significance of vegetation over through local radio talk shows, placards with messages promoting environmental conservation, use of public address systems and also through music where we go in partnership with artistes who compose and sing songs relaying messages on environmental conservation. Magic events foundation occasionally joins the rest of the other stakeholders in environmental conservation against land and air pollution by mostly mobilizing the urban communities on polythene bag and plastic bottle disposal as this puts both aquatic and non-aquatic at risk of extinction, a situation that affects ecosystem with its associated significance.

Magic Event is a non-profit community based organisation that was founded with an aim of developing the potential of Ugandan child through education, health, environmental conservation and skills development.
