By 7pm, the curfew has started, most of us are indoors and the streets are empty except for security enforcement officers. For the past 26 days, the country has been locked down because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But there are some who have no homes to go to, their resting place is on a verandah or a shack somewhere. That is the dilemma many street children find themselves in every day. They say that with the town empty and shops closed, they cannot find food to eat. Last week Kampala Capital City Authority and NGOs who work with children took a number of youngsters off the streets and to Kaazi Rehabilitation Center.
